A Book Sale & Recs

Hello, hello!

In this newsletter:

  • Prime Day Deals Blast (Share it with friends!)

  • Alpha/Beta Readers

  • Life & Cat Update

  • A Thing I love!

  • Writing Updates/Current projects

(PS - I’m getting widely different results on the format of this newsletter from gmail to outlook - so I apologize, but you can view it on the website!)

Baked & Brewed is a month old! The ebook is also going to be on sale from July 16th - 18th (PDT midnight to midnight, if KDP works correctly) for .99 cents! This is part of a group - The Fireside Book Cafe - and there are many that will be free or .99, so be sure to check it out.

Please share it with all your friends! If you have read it, and not left a review - I would greatly appreciate one. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy - even something as simple as “I really enjoyed it” helps! 50 reviews is what you need to get Amazon to start promoting, and I’m at 24 there.

I’m almost half way through Book 2 (Interconnected Standalone) that follows Piper’s romance. I will be looking for 2-3 alpha readers for it this fall.

I’m going up for promotion this Fall, so I’ve decided not to drive myself crazy - I’ll be releasing book 2 next spring/summer. That gives me more time to promote it, share the cover, and do all the fun things.

So, if you are interested in becoming either an alpha reader (reads it before edits/looks at overall story, etc.), a beta reader, an ARC reader, all of the above, and/or to join a future street team - fill out this form and indicate what you would be interested in!

I’d been eagerly typing away, about 2k, for every day in July until about 3 days ago. I still hope to finish this book by the end of July, I just need some extra good days.

Life in general is going well - though gosh, summer is going by fast! August will be here before I know it.

Toph, Willie, and poor Alexandria (who wants on the cat tree)

As for cats - well Toph is doing okay. He went through a second round of steroids and had some issues again. We are on steroids once more (just finished) and will be giving him a dose every 3 days, then 4 days, to see how he does. I did however get a bag of prescription UT cat food for him, and I’m seeing him drink more water. I’m hoping that helps!

A new thing I’m going to start doing is recommending something I love (A product, or something else), and a book!

First off - Zenni migraine lenses! I get truly awful migraines, and light is one of my top triggers. I absolutely am in love with these glasses. My first pair were 50% tint, and that proved just too dark inside. On a sunny day they are excellent. I was lucky enough to get a referral, and earn $30 towards a future purchase though. I used that to get a second pair at 25% tint. They make being around bright lights so much more bearable, including computer screens.

This first time I’m also going to recommend a creator/jewelry maker, whose items I’ve fallen in love with! The Goode Karma Co. makes awesome clay earrings (And now bookmarks!). I own three pairs - and may be looking at doing a future giveaway with a pair that matches my book! (What do you think - pixie or book earrings? Let me know!).

Last but not least - a book: Party Animal by Ali K. Mulford! I’ve been following AK Mulford since she first released The High Mountain Court. Her journey has been absolutely amazing, and she’s incredibly supportive too. I loved that series, and I’m equally loving the Prickle Zoo rom-com series. If you haven’t read any of them, check them out!

Party Animal is book 3, following Finch, our zoo vet. It has fake-dating, a sapphic relationship, masc MC, plus size MC, zoo puns, and descriptions of food that will make you very hungry - plus spice! Read about it here. It comes out July 17th!
